We Remove Stumps, Without the Hassle

Serving Ada & Canyon County with responsive scheduling, clean work, and neighborly service you’ll remember.

The Uncle Stump Difference

Whether it’s one backyard stump or a full site cleanup, we show up ready to work — with pro-grade equipment, clean results, and a service mindset that’s earned us repeat business from homeowners and contractors alike.

Comparison of a backyard corner before and after landscaping: the 'before' side shows a tree stump, dirt, rocks, and a section of sidewalk, while the 'after' side shows cleaned ground with gravel and small wood chips, no stump, and a curved flower bed border.
    • Makes room for landscaping – plant grass, trees, or gardens without obstruction.

    • Stops pest infestations – rotting wood attracts termites, ants, and beetles.

    • Avoids lawn damage – roots keep spreading underground, disrupting landscaping.

    • Improves safety – old stumps are tripping hazards for kids, pets, and lawnmowers.

    • Enhances curb appeal – and boosts property value.

    • No equipment rental – we bring professional-grade grinders so you don’t waste time or money.

    • Faster, cleaner results – we grind deeper and more thoroughly than basic homeowner models.

    • Avoid injury or property damage – stump grinders are dangerous tools; we're trained, insured, and careful.

    • Protect your irrigation & utilities – we assess root systems and grind safely near underground lines.

    • No cleanup worries – we can haul off mulch or leave it neat and contained — your choice.

    • You save time & sweat – what takes you a weekend (and your back) we finish in under an hour.

    • Professional results – we grind 6–12 inches below ground level, deep enough for grass, sod, or replanting.

How Our Process Works

  • 1. Send a photo or request a quick visit.

Snap a picture of your stump and text it to (208) 968-1697 — or use our quote form. If you’d rather have someone take a look in person, Brett can stop by for a quick visit. We’ll always give you an honest opinion and a fair estimate upfront.

  • 2. Get your quote, no surprises.

We’ll measure the stump, check access, and talk through cleanup options. Most quotes can be sent the same day, and what we quote is what you’ll pay — no hidden fees, no last-minute upsells.

  • 3. Schedule your grind.

Once you’re ready, we’ll find a time that fits your schedule. You don’t even need to be home if we’ve already seen the site. We’ll confirm everything ahead of time and send a quick text before we start.

  • 4. We grind clean.

We bring pro-grade equipment that grinds 6–12 inches below ground level, deep enough for grass, sod, or replanting. Every job is done with care — we protect irrigation lines, watch for utilities, and leave your yard tidy.

  • 5. Clean finish and easy payment.

When the work’s done, you can choose to keep the mulch or have us haul it away. We’ll make sure you’re happy with the results before we leave. Pay by card, cash, or invoice — whatever’s easiest for you.
